President Report

Dear Members

To facilitate the further improvement of the golf course for the benefit of members, the Club, through your Board, is investigating opportunities that might arise from recent changes to the NSW Low and Mid-Rise (LMR) zoning regulations. These new zoning regulations mean that the Club may be able to participate in a development that helps secure the financial future of the club.

So that the Board can discuss this with you, you are invited to attend an information night, in the Clubhouse, on Tuesday the 6th of May starting at 6pm.

The Board expects to be able to discuss, in general terms:

  1. Current financial position of the Club,
  2. a possible joint venture idea that will impact the clubhouse site,
  3. the potential financial reward to the Club (now and the future),
  4. the course upgrades that might be undertaken,
  5. the impact on members – to be as minimal as possible,
  6. the ‘lock up’ of the expected financial surplus, and
  7. to answer questions from members

Let me be clear, this is to investigate not to transact. No transaction that impacts the Club’s assets will be entered into without the approval of members at an official General Meeting of the Club. Such a meeting being held in accordance with the relevant NSW and Federal government laws, and only after extensive consultation and providing members with all relevant information.

I hope to see you there.

Happy golfing
Irene
