Last Wednesday Bayview held the Mollydooker Blend a Hand Night. We had about 24 people attend. It was such a great night and greatly enjoyed by all in attendance.
We were treated to some amazing hors d’oeuvres (including fig and gorgonzola wrapped in prosciutto) and glasses of the Mollydooker Verdelho – yum.
We then sat at our tables and sampled the Shiraz, Merlot and Cab/Sauv as well as their blend of the 3 wines mentioned. We then, as a group, had to experiment making our own blend. Each table sampled all the blends and voted on the best blend from their table. These were taken away and marked A, B and C, and we all blind tasted the blends and chose the ultimate winner. That table won bottles of Mollydooker wines.
We then had our main meal (Rib eye) which was done to perfection and matched with a glass of the Mollydooker Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz.
To end the night, we were given the opportunity to buy some Mollydooker wines at a special discount. Each bottle bought got you a ticket in the raffle. The main prize was a bottle of the Velvet Glove Shiraz ($220) which was won by Ray and Jenny Duncan.
I personally can’t wait for the next event like this – it was so much fun!
